Becoming Our Purpose

I have been thinking a lot about what my PURPOSE is while I am on this earth.
Right now, take a deep, slow inhale. Exhale very slowly, and think.
What is YOUR purpose?
Have you found one yet?
Are you still wondering?
Do you still have questions about it?
Is this something that you have thought about before? ...or NEVER have?

Every part of this flower has a purpose.

I am a firm believer that if we can feel that we are needed in this world, then we will feel this as a reason to live. It might not be so obvious to us as to what that is. For example: A grandfather who is widowed, home everyday, with lots of time on his hands might be struggling with getting out of bed. He doesn't feel that anyone needs him.

Next door, his neighbor, same age, also a widower, feels he has lots to offer to his grandchildren as far as knowledge, care, and love. He wakes up every morning wondering how they are, and how he might be able to help them.
He has a spring in his step, and he doesn't realize why.

He has found purpose to his life.
GIVE YOURSELF AWAY
If you want to feel that you are needed, (and you ARE!), then begin to give yourself away. Create something that was not there. For instance, visit your church and find out if there are any shut-ins who could use a visit.
Like animals? Visit a pound or shelter and offer to walk a dog, or to just sit and pet or talk to them.
See litter on the ground? Pick it up.

My friend, you definitely ARE needed in this world! The quicker you realize this, the happier you will be.

Offering different perspectives, because sometimes that makes all the difference.
