Moving and Motivation!

Our lives change when our habits change. It really is that simple when you think about it. That is why I try to start each weekday morning with a ritual that includes some type of exercise. It requires discipline, but the reward is well worth it.

Starting off the day feeling energized and focused makes me more productive and creative. It also helps me feel better about myself. If you’re struggling to get motivated just remember the hardest part is simply getting started. Once you put on your workout clothes and lace up your sneaks you’re half-way there. Go for it!

Jillian Michaels 30-day Shred Level 3 workout has been my go-to at the beginning and end of the work week. It took a while to work up to Level 3 and I’ve been doing it consistently at that level for about 5 years now. I like to mix things up the other 3 days.

All you need is a laptop or smart TV to find dozens of workout options from yoga to cardio to weights to dancing. I’ll scan till I find something that interests me and is the right amount of time. And on a beautiful day, a brisk walk may be the perfect choice.
