Tanker Truck Carries Important Message

Coastal Carriers of Con­necticut teamed up with Jane Doe No More to display a message they say can help prevent sexual crimes.

Coastal Carriers of Con­necticut President John Pruchnicki said "After hearing the stories of sexual crimes from sur­vivors who are part of the Jane Doe No More organiza­tion, we were shocked by the shame and fear they ex­pressed following their abuse. It's as if they are abused twice .... initially from the assault and a second time from a fear of coming for­ward and expressing the trauma they suffered," he said. "Together we are letting people know that they can help prevent these types of crimes from happening while we encourage survivors to come forward to get past that shame and fear and find a way to begin the healing process."
