Robert J. Alvine is President and General Manager of Premier Subaru, LLC. Mr. Alvine
graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a Major in Finance and received his Masters
in Business Administration from the University of New Haven.
Prior to his involvement with Premier Subaru in 2000, Mr. Alvine was in the banking and
finance industries, specializing in commercial and industrial transactions. His positions included
Vice President and Team Leader at J.P. Morgan Chase Bank, Vice President in the Commercial
Banking Division at People’s United Bank and Vice President at Hudson United Bank (know
known as TD Bank). In 1997, Mr. Alvine, along with three other individuals was one of the
founding members of Falcon Financial, LLC. This Stamford, Connecticut based organization,
which eventually became public, specialized in the lending of structured finance dollars in the
automotive retailing industry. Mr. Alvine held the position of Senior Vice President/Chief
Credit Officer and was solely responsible for establishing the credit underwriting function.
During Mr. Alvine’s tenure, more than $200 million in loans were originated and the company
completed the first ever securitization of debt obligations supported by franchised automotive
dealerships.
In 2000, Mr. Alvine became dealer principal, President and General Manager, of Premier
Subaru, LLC. Premier Subaru was formed to purchase the assets of the former Subaru of
Branford. Since it’s founding in 2000, Premier Subaru, LLC has grown to be one of largest
and most well respected Subaru dealerships in America. The company retails more than 1,500
new and used cars per year and has received national awards for its customer satisfaction. In
addition, Premier Subaru has received the “President’s Club Award” from Subaru of New
England on repeated occasions and is recognized as a Stellar Performer from Subaru of America.
Premier Subaru is the only Subaru dealer in Connecticut to be approved by the AAA for
Automotive Repair and Service and an ongoing A+ rated dealership by the BBB.
