Dan Sherr is President, Board of Directors, Jane Doe No More Inc., a recently launched national sexual assault non-profit organization.
He has extensive experience with non-profit organizations as a board member, mentor/counselor and consultant. Start ups, major new initiatives, strategic planning and marketing are areas of focus.
Dan is an active volunteer with many community and non-profit organizations.
He is a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, the Conservation Committee and Chairman, Open Space Committee in Washington, CT. He is Board Vice President of the Washington Environmental Council.
Dan Sherr is President, BOD of the Bantam River Watershed Association, advisor to the Housatonic Valley Association, the designated watershed organization for western Mass and CT and a member of the Greater Waterbury United Way Environmental Fund Committee.
Additionally, he is a volunteer staff consultant at the Connecticut Community Foundation (Northwest Connecticut) Non-profit Assistance Initiative which provides organizational and board development assistance to community non-profits.
Dan Sherr is Vice President, Strategic Targeting Solutions, ADVO, Inc. Windsor, CT, the largest direct mailer in the US. He has been involved in leading edge segmentation, targeting and database marketing for his entire career.
Starting his career in product management at Kraft and Quaker Oats, Dan has a BS and MBA from the Pennsylvania State University.
Dan lives in Washington, CT with his wife Margaret Ferguson.
